The Adventure App - Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms:
By downloading, installing, or using "The Adventure App" (the "App"), you ("User," "Parent," or "Child") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the App.
2. App Description:
"The Adventure App" is designed to encourage outdoor activity for parents and children. Parents can discover and track adventures, while children can view their adventure history and participate in a leaderboard with friends (with parental consent).
3. Parental Consent and Child Accounts:
Children aged 16 and under may only use the App with the explicit consent of their parent or legal guardian ("Parent").
Parents are responsible for creating and managing their child's account.
Parents must ensure their child's use of the App complies with these Terms.
Parents are solely responsible for their child's safety during any activities undertaken as a result of using the app.
4. Child Safety:
The App does not allow direct communication between children.
All friend requests from children must be approved by the child's parent.
Parents are responsible for supervising their children's use of the App and ensuring their safety during outdoor activities.
Parents are responsible for risk assessments of any adventures they choose to undertake.
5. User Accounts:
Users must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
Parents are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.
Parents are responsible for all actions taken with their account, and their child's account.
6. Adventure Cards and Content:
"Adventure Cards" are created by the company and provide descriptions of outdoor activities.
The company reserves the right to modify or remove Adventure Cards at any time.
User reviews of Adventure Cards are subject to moderation.
Users must not post inappropriate or offensive content.
The company reserves the right to remove any user review that it deems to be inappropriate.
All Adventure Cards are the Intellectual property of the company.
7. Adventure Points and Leaderboards:
Adventure points are awarded for completing adventures.
The leaderboard displays usernames and points.
The company disclaims any liability for the accuracy or fairness of the leaderboard.
8. Data Collection and Privacy:
The App collects user data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Child data includes username, adventure history, and name (parent-visible only).
Data is stored securely on our databases.
Users can delete their accounts and associated data through the App.
All data processing is compliant with GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

9. Liability Disclaimer:
Users are responsible for their own safety during outdoor activities.
The company disclaims all liability for any injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during adventures.
The company is not responsible for the accuracy of user reviews.
The company is not responsible for the real world condition of locations that are included in the adventure cards.
Parents are responsible for the safety of their children.
10. Intellectual Property:
The App and its content (including Adventure Cards) are protected by intellectual property laws.
Users must not reproduce or distribute any content without permission.
11. Third-Party Services:

Users must comply with the terms and conditions of these third-party services.
Links to the third party terms and conditions, and privacy policies will be provided within the apps privacy policy.
12. Advertising:
The adult section of the App may display advertisements from outdoor brands, related companies, and local businesses with family connections.
No advertisements will be displayed to child users.
The company takes reasonable steps to ensure that advertisements are appropriate and relevant to the app's user base.
The company is not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.
Users acknowledge that by using the app, they may be presented with advertisements.
The company reserves the right to choose what advertisements are displayed.
Where applicable, the app will adhere to IAB UK advertising standards.
13. In-App Purchases:
